Chairman Mao Portrait, uncancelled, bearing Sichuan Yibin Shih 1968.3.19 cds and Shanghai 1968.4.1 arrival cds, on front with a boxed "Please notify sender: Chairman Mao's portrait, quotations, poems stamps must be affxed properly" ( 請通知寄件人: 毛主席像、語錄、詩詞邮票必須正貼 ) handstamp in violet, stamp defective, roughly opened at right and left. It was decreed that postmark should be put aside instead of on stamp so as to show respect for Chairman Mao.
