1945 (14 Sept.) incoming registered cover from Manhattan, USA to Namhung, Kwangtung, franked with USA stamps 1c, 3c and 4-1/2c x 4, (one stamp missing), tied by US oval handstamps, a boxed US “REGISTERED No. 587” registration handstamp in magenta at bottom left, Canton 17.1.1946 cds and Namhung 31.1.46 arrival cds, on reverse with Manhattan (14/9), San Francisco (15/9, 16/9) and New York (19/9) datestamps. Cover being undelivered and therefore marked on front “not yet returned” in red, affxed with a slip reading “Removedand not yet back, hence returned” and bearing a Namhung cds (date illegible), then sent back from Canton (11.2.46), via San Francisco (16/3/1946) and arrived Manhattan on 18 Mar., 1946, age toning, nevertheless an interesting item.
