franked on revese with 1948 Ching-Cow Chairman Mao issue, 2nd print,
$500 (Yang EC150) and "Jiaotung" overprint & surch. On Martyrs Monument
issue, $200 on $1 (Yang EC174), tied by Shantung Weifangshih 1949.3.7
cds's, and Tsinan 1949.3.8 arrival cds, with central horizontal folding crease.

1949 (16 May) A ROC cover sent between Liberated Areas from Chekiang
Post Postal Bureau to Canton, on reverse bearing Hangchow surcharge
on SYS Dah Tung print, $1 on $1 orange x 5, tied by char. 'CHEKIANG/
HANGCHOW' cds, with bilingual 'CANTON/15.7.49' arrival cds. At the
time, Canton was only liberated on 14th Oct. 1949, and Hangchow was
liberated on 3rd May 1949, that is why the letter was delayed over 60 days, a
very good example of mail between ROC and Liberated Areas, some damage
