by Don Peterson and Geoffrey Lewis (2000), and were
in the exhibit Spanish Philippine Postal History, 1854-

to San Francisco, via US private ship 'Zafiro', bearing
handstamp surcharged in magenta 8c on 2 1/2c, Sc 106,
tied by blue 'CORREOS/MANILA' cds, adjacent with
single ring 'SAN FRANCISCO/AUG 4' arrival cds, only

bearing King Alfonso XIII 8c ultramarine x 2, Sc 161,
tied by 'CORREOS/MANILA' cds in blue. Letter carried
by private Spanish ship, SAN IGNACIO DE LOYOLA,
via Marseillies, on reverse with various transits and
arrival cds, with enclosed letter from Austria-Hungary

envelope, bearing on front with Siam Surch. 2s on 2a,
block of four, cancelled by BANGKOK 2A cds, bearing
at upper left "BY DANISH FOKKER AEROPLANES
1926/ Bangkok to Copenhagen" cachet with signature of
pilot "Lt. Herschnd", endorsed "arrived at Copenhagen
on June 5th 1926, and also "Royal Siamese Legation
Copenhagen" cachet in violet, small nick at top and flap
missing on reverse.
